6 Dexter: Resurrection Season One
Release Date |
July 11, 2025 |
---|---|
Episodes |
10 |
Starring |
Michael C. Hall, Jack Alcott, Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, Neil Patrick Harris |
Of all the shows on this list, Dexter: Resurrection is one of my most anticipated TV shows of 2025—we Dexter fans have waited a very long time for the return of America’s favorite vigilante serial killer with a penchant for dry sarcasm, dark humor, and dark brilliance.
Resurrection is set 10 weeks after the events of Dexter: New Blood and serves as its sequel. After awakening from a coma in the hospital, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) learns that his son has vanished into thin air. Feeling guilty about how he handled things with Harrison (Jack Alcott) before he was shot, Dexter sets out to find him and make things right. The universe has other plans, though.
With former co-worker and old friend Det. Angel Batista (David Zayas) on his trail, investigating whether he’s the Bay Harbor Butcher, Dexter also finds himself under the watchful eye of others while in New York City. There’s a billionaire in town named Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage) and he has one obsession: serial killers.
It isn’t long before Dexter finds himself at a fancy dinner, sitting next to other renowned killers, talking freely and openly about murder, darkness, and desire. As this Murder-Con of sorts gets underway, Harrison struggles with his own Dark Passenger while Dexter begins to experience a transformation with his.
If you’ve yet to experience the award-winning franchise, Dexter, Dexter: New Blood, and prequel Dexter: Original Sin are all streaming in their entirety on Paramount+.
5 Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season Three
Release Date |
July 17, 2025 |
---|---|
Episodes |
10 |
Starring |
Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Rebecca Romijn |
Finally, after a two-year wait, the flagship Star Trek streaming series returns.
Strange New Worlds season three picks up after season two’s cliffhanger and looks to be packed with action. As we continue to follow Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the Starship Enterprise in the 23rd century, we also fly through a range of genres.
Season three will swiftly address the Gorn threat that captured season two, and it will continue the exploration of interconnected character stories, this time with more emphasis on romantic complications.
Given that Strange New Worlds is episodic in nature, expect to experience a gamut of genres, including romantic comedy, horror, murder mystery, and an Indiana Jones-style adventure episode. One of the things that makes this series so engaging is when it gets weird and goes where we least expect. You can bank on that happening all throughout this new season.
4 Mayor of Kingstown Season Four
Release Date |
October 2025 |
---|---|
Episodes |
10 |
Starring |
Jeremy Renner, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Edie Falco |
Mayor of Kingstown is one of my favorite Taylor Sheridan series, and it's also extremely underrated. All of Sheridan's shows are great, but the Kingstown narrative sucks me in more than his others—probably because it's one of the best gritty crime dramas, and those are my jam.
Jeremy Renner stars as Mike McLusky, the unofficial mayor of the fictional city of Kingstown, Michigan. His job is to keep the waters calm between the various factions of the town, including gangs, cartels, and the local police force. The series is a no-holds-barred look at fire-hot topics like racism, corruption, and the United States prison complex.
Mike—much like Tommy Norris in Landman—never has a moment’s peace and is always dealing with consequences. Where season three introduced the Russian mafia and left us with a brutally shocking ending, season four will focus on the power vacuum left by their departure, with new criminal organizations battling for control.
Mayor of Kingstown season four will also explore the shifting power dynamics in Mike’s inner circle, as well as the deepening tensions within the community and the prison system. Expect to see more prison politics at play, too, as a new deputy warden of Anchor Bay enters the picture.
Oh, and all that violence? That's going to amp up as well, especially now that the Russians are gone and Mike's role as peacekeeper is threatened. If you’re not watching this one, you should be. It's a lot more than tension and violence mixed with drama. You might even find yourself gripping your chest through certain scenes because they're so touching and emotional.
3 Landman Season Two
Release Date |
November 2025 |
---|---|
Episodes |
10 |
Starring |
Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia |
Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) returns as a rugged, no-nonsense, realistic oilman in Landman season two.
After M-Tex Oil president Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) suddenly dies in the season one finale, Tommy finds himself unexpectedly promoted, and carrying loads more stress. This is a man who’s worn out every second of every day, driving hundreds of miles between two different oil fields, then coming home to a dramatically eccentric family.
Landman season two will explore the fallout from Monty’s death and Tommy’s promotion, and don’t forget about that ongoing feud with a local cartel. Tommy’s relationship with Galino (Andy Garcia), another cartel leader who rescued Tommy, will be a key plot point, as will the challenges of managing the oil company and navigating dangerous alliances.
Expect more of that dry sense of humor Thornton (and Sheridan) is so great at delivering, and more of that modest authenticity emanating from his son, Cooper (Jacob Lofland). You can also expect plenty of conflict and drama surrounding Tommy’s relationship with Angela (Ali Larter) and their daughter.
Also of note: Sam Elliott will be joining the cast. I'm not sure that it gets any better than Sam Elliot and Billy Bob Thornton laying down the law on screen with their no-nonsense attitude and gruff delivery. I can't wait!

2 Tulsa King Season Three
Release Date |
Fall 2025 |
---|---|
Episodes |
Unknown |
Starring |
Sylvester Stallone, Dana Delaney, Garret Hedlund |
I’m so glad to see Tulsa King doing so well. I’ve enjoyed experiencing its narrative unfold, but more than anything, I love these entertaining characters.
After a 25-year prison stint, mob capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) is exiled by his boss to Tulsa, Oklahoma. When he realizes his mob family has no plans for him, Dwight starts his own empire, much to the chagrin of the bosses back home, as well as in Oklahoma and surrounding areas.
Tulsa King season three will pick up right where season two left off. After being kidnapped at gunpoint, Dwight is forced to work for a shady new entity while also navigating the fallout from his actions in Tulsa, which caused a major shift in the landscape of the criminal underworld. You can bet his relationship with Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo) will be tested, and it will get interesting… hopefully physical, seeing how skilled in the art of fighting they both are.
Word is that a major plot point of season three will involve a new rival in the liquor business named Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick), who will clash with Dwight’s legal weed empire. There will also be an FBI agent with an axe to grind entering the picture, played by Kevin Pollack.
1 Dutton Ranch Season One

Release Date |
Expected November 2025 |
---|---|
Episodes |
Unknown |
Starring |
Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little |
I was sad to see Yellowstone end, but I’ll be honest and admit that, while I was thoroughly swept up in the narrative, I was enamored by the storylines of two major gritty characters: Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser). Lucky for us, their story will continue, but not at Yellowstone Ranch. They’re moving their careers to a smaller estate near Dillon, Montana.
Dutton Ranch, a tentative title, will be a more character-centric narrative and focus on Beth and Rip as they build a life together away from the main Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. The series will explore their personal ambitions and desire to create their own success story as they work to differentiate themselves from the long shadow left by her father, John Dutton.
Expect cattle, land, and plenty of cowboy activities, but also expect a focus on second chances, bruised love, and quiet reckoning.
As for whether Dutton Ranch will continue any of the Dutton family story, there’s no official word on that yet, but in my opinion, I wouldn’t bank on it, especially given upcoming spinoffs 6666 and Y: Marshals. I encourage you to keep an open mind and enter this upcoming series without expectations.
Whether you have the time to stream these upcoming Paramount+ shows when they premiere or you choose to wait until entire seasons are released in their entirety, you won't be disappointed.
