About Dan Helyer
Dan was a Segment Lead at How-To Geek, overseeing our Gaming and Streaming coverage. Now he focuses on writing instead.
He has worked closely with Apple devices for well over a decade, from producing music in Logic Pro for a BSc in Sound Technology to managing iPhone and Mac repairs at an Apple Store. Since 2017, he has used this experience—alongside editorial training from the CIEP—to write tutorials, troubleshooting guides, and explainers with the aim of helping everyone get more from their technology.
Before settling at How-To Geek in 2023, Dan was Deputy Editor at MakeUseOf, where he oversaw Android, iPhone, and Mac coverage. He has also written for MacKeeper, AppleToolBox, and more.
