Is Microsoft Recall Cool or Creepy?
Recall logs snapshots of your screen every few seconds to help create a searchable archive on your computer, but critics say it’s an invasion of privacy. Will you be using this feature, or will you opt out?
What's the Funniest TV Show of All Time?
Whether you love The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Friends, or 30 Rock, there are plenty of TV comedies to keep everyone happy. But if you had to pick one as the funniest show of all time, which would get your vote? There's no wrong answer!
What Do You Do With Your Old Game Consoles?
When a new video game console generation rolls around, like the new Switch 2, what do you do with your old console? Perhaps you give it to a friend, recycle it, or keep it around so you can still play the games you already own (as backwards compatibility isn't always guaranteed.)
Do You Prefer Watching Movies at Home on Streaming?
Streaming services have changed the landscape for theatrical movie releases. You typically only need to wait a few months before a movie is available for streaming, either as part of a subscription or to rent and buy. Do you prefer watching movies at home, or do you still favor the big screen experience?
How Long Does Your Phone Last on a Single Charge?
I recently upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S25, which has a fantastic battery out of the box. I can get around two days of comfortable use on a single charge. Of course, that will wear off over time. How long does your phone last before you need to plug it in?
What's Your Biggest Phone Pet Peeve?
I don't like how so many phone manufacturers and app developers are pushing pointless AI features. I immediately disable most of these. What's your phone pet peeve? Perhaps it's constant notifications, your battery draining quickly, or something else.
Which Windows Privacy Settings Do You Always Turn Off?
Windows 11 collects a lot of information by default, data on telemetry, your location, diagnostics, app usage and more. What settings do you disable to limit the data your PC sends to Microsoft?
Do You Use Wi-Fi Calling?
Wi-Fi calling is a helpful feature when you have unreliable cellular coverage, allowing you to use a more stable Wi-Fi connection to process the call. Using Wi-Fi calling makes sense for most people, so I'm interested to know if you utilize the feature and what you think of it. You may have it enabled without realizing!
What Do You Always Have on Your Phone?
Is there a specific app, customization, or setting that you always have on your phone? For example, perhaps you've used the same wallpaper for years or your homepage always has a particular widget.
What Are Your Go-to Troubleshooting Tools for Windows?
Windows is great... When it works. When it doesn't, it's time to put on the thinking cap and break out the tools. There is no shortage of tools out there, and we've all got our favorites, so I'd like to hear from the admins and troubleshooters out there. What are your go-to tools that you couldn't live without?
Which Freeware Apps Do You Use Every Day?
I'm happy to pay for a good product. Buy once, cry once, and all that. But the slow transition towards subscription-based software licensing is a plague on my wallet and my psyche. Apps that used to be a one-time purchase have been replaced by vampiric, ghoulish subscriptions, so I find myself digging into the world of freeware more than ever before. I've got my favorites—Handbrake, Wine, VLC—though I'd love to know which freeware apps our readers can't live without.
Which Password Manager Do You Use?
If you spend much time at all using the internet, password managers are crucial for keeping your passwords organized and securely stored. Otherwise, you're stuck trying to remember them or write them down by hand. What password manager do you recommend? Or do you stick with your browser's built-in manager?
Which Web Search Engine Do You Prefer?
Until recently, I used DuckDuckGo for personal web searches and Google for professional research, thinking Google was more thorough and up-to-date. Its automatic AI summaries started driving me up the wall, though, so I've switched over to DDG for almost all my web searches, and only fall back on Google if I can't find what I'm looking for. What search engine(s) do you use and why?
Do You Ever Use Your Phone Without a Case?
I never use a case on my phone because I prefer how it looks and feels. It's risky because it could get damaged if I drop it, but I generally take good care of my electronics so I'm not worried. Do you ever go caseless, perhaps when around your home, or is your phone always protected?
If You Could Only Use One App, Which Would it Be?
Let's pretend that your phone was only capable of holding a single app and you couldn't replace it. Which app would you choose? Perhaps you'd opt for an app to assist with navigation, one that lets you chat with friends, or a video streaming service for entertainment.
Is It Actually Worth Connecting Your Android Phone to Your Chromebook?
I know there’s the whole Phone Hub thing, and you can see notifications, recent tabs, text messages, and use your phone’s hotspot, but I’m curious — for those of you who’ve actually been using this setup. Is it genuinely useful?
Is Facebook Still Relevant in 2025?
Facebook wasn't the first social media platform, but it was the first one that reached extraordinary levels of popularity. There was a time when almost everyone I knew was active on Facebook. These days, the only people posting are distant relatives and random bots. Do you still find Facebook worth using?
Who Makes the Best Tiny PCs?
Mini PCs are endlessly useful and versatile little things. They make great server hardware, and they can be desktop workstations too if your needs aren't too demanding. The next time you buy a tiny PC, which manufacturer will be your go-to?

When you get a Raspberry Pi, you've gotta decide which operating system to install on it. Lately I've been using DietPi on my main Pi, but I haven't decided yet what to put on the other two I'm getting out of storage. Which one(s) are you using?
I Never Change My Desktop Wallpaper. Do You?
Changing the wallpaper has long been the pinnacle of desktop customizing fun, and I used to do it quite a bit. I could just be jaded, but I don't really care what my computer's wallpaper looks like anymore. So long as the default doesn't look absolutely hideous, I leave it as it is. I'm spending less than 1% of my computer time looking at it anyway. Am I alone in this, or are there other default enjoyers out there?
